Doggy Day School

Give your dog some class!

Doggy Day School and Puppy Preschool at Sheabel Veterinary Hospital

Want a happy, healthy, well-adjusted dog? Then exercise, learning and socialization are key. But sometimes work and busy schedules make it difficult to give your canine family members everything they need.

That’s why we now offer Doggy Day School for dogs above 6 months of age, and Puppy Preschool for young canines under 1 year of age. These classes are like enhanced daycare for dogs, where they will get plenty of exercise, snacks, nap time, and LOTS of love!

Safety is always a priority at SVH and because we are veterinarian-supervised, medical attention is just steps away should your pet need it. We require current vaccinations and do a thorough evaluation on all our prospective “students” to make sure they are suitable for daycare in a group environment. We also use Fear Free techniques at our hospital, so you can rest assured that your pet will be handled with care.

Bad weather? No problem—we have indoor and outdoor play areas. Pup need some pampering? Our professional groomers can take care of that while your dog is here for the day.

Puppy Preschool

The Puppy Preschool is open to young canines under 1 year of age, which is an extremely important time in your puppy’s life. Truly, the importance of the kind of group socialization we provide cannot be overstated when it comes to making sure your pup grows into a confident, trustworthy adult dog and family companion.

Students enrolled in our Puppy Preschool will spend time interacting with other dogs, meeting new people, and learning valuable life skills. We promote positive behaviors and correct negative behaviors in a Fear Free setting, with the goal that every puppy be a successful graduate!
